Let’s deep dive into how to create a blog series for your Medium.com blog and automate it.
- You need to log in to the dashboard of Bloggy AI and navigate to the Integrations menu first. In the integrations menu, you will see the Add Integration button at the top of the screen. Click on Add Integration button, and it will open a new page for you to set up your integration:
In this section, you need to choose the integration type, status and provide the name for it. Right now, Bloggy AI supports 2 platforms to automate your blog generation:
- Medium.com
- Ghost.org
In this tutorial, we will go over for medium.com series automation.
Because of that, we are choosing:
Integration Type: Medium
Status: Active -> If you want to publish immediately as scheduled, then keep it active
Integration Name: As you wish 🫡
The next section is about configurations.
Paid Medium Account: That means whether you are a medium member or not. Choose it because it defines your daily publishing limit to Medium.com
AccessToken: This is the access token that we will use to publish blog posts on your account. There are guides on how to get it from medium.com. Follow the instructions and add your token here.
Here we go, we are ready for the next section
This section is about your medium paywall. As you know, Medium does not support APIs, and because of that, Bloggy AI is using browser automation to enable your paywall for published blog posts to make sure you are earning 💰.
Once you enable it, Bloggy AI will keep the browser session and use it each time to enable the paywall.
Magic Link URL: The Magic URL is the URL that Medium sends you for login. To get that URL, first, you need to open an Incognito tab in your Chrome browser by clicking:
Windows: CTRL + SHIFT + N
Mac: Command + Shift + N
After you see the incognito tab opened, type medium.com to open Medium on your new tab. Then click on the Sign In button on the top right. It will open the Sign In options.
Always choose the last option, Sign in with email. Even if you normally use other login methods.
After typing your email, click on the Continue button. After that, you will see that screen:
Now, you can close that incognito tab and go to your email inbox. You will get an email from Medium as below about the login
Don’t click on the link. Carefully copy that link and paste the Magic Link URL into the Bloggy integrations page.
Now, we are good to add integration. Click on the Create Integration button below to create it.
Here we go, your Medium account is connected and active, but we need to wait 1–2 minutes for browser automation.
After 1–2 minutes, you will see that the browser is also connected 🥳
Perfect. Now we are ready to automate our blog posts. For this one, we need to go to the Blog Series from the menu. There is a big Add Series button. Hit the button, and it will open a new world for you.
Here we have a blog series configuration.
Title: This is to help you identify your series. Type whatever you want.
Description: This is also the description of your series. Doesn’t have any effect on automation. Type something will help you remember the series on the list.
Category: This is an important part of the series. Bloggy AI already has predefined categories like Health, Sports, Productivity, etc. If you choose Health, the series will create the Health blog series, like generating a title in the Health topic and then writing and publishing the whole blog post.
If you need any specific topic, you can choose the Custom category. Then you will have input to type your topic. For example, I’m typing:
a blog post about flower (choose the different flower each time
I want to have a blog series about flowers.
Title Seeds: Title Seeds is a functionality where you can choose your own titles. When the user imports titles from the Title Seeds menu, the automation will take those titles and use them.
Timezone: Choose the timezone you want to schedule the blogs.
In the schedule section, you can have 3 schedule types:
Daily Schedule: Shared every weekday as you set the times
Custom Schedule: You can schedule the same time each day or on which days you want.
Advanced Schedule: It is a more advanced schedule configuration. You can explore it 🙂
The next up is choosing the integrations where you want to publish. You can choose 1 or more integrations to share the same blog post on all of them.
That is my configuration, and now, I’m clicking on the Create Series button
Here it is. My series was created successfully.
1–2 minutes after the series was created, you will see the generated blog post based on your series in the Dashboard, and you will see the schedule.
Once the time comes, Bloggy AI will share the blog post and generate another one, and schedule it for next time. You can always edit your blog posts before publishing.
Now, you can close Medium and Bloggy AI and go to the beachside to take a rest. It will do everything, and you will earn your money. 💰
